Quality HP Ink
The HP 62XL black and white and Tri-Color is the only ink I use for my HP printer. Always good quality printing and the XL cartridge does last a long time with normal printing use. It is unfortunately they have not found a way to make it more affordable.

Beware of Instant Ink
If you print different amounts from month to month - stay away from Instant Ink. An envelope counts the same as a full color page.

Hi David I can understand if you're upset by the length of time it lasted. I'm sorry you're experiencing this. Printing high-density things like photos will run a cartridge out more quickly than other types of printing. You might consider getting Instant Ink. Then you only pay by the page not for the cartridges themselves. If you get poor performance due to a defective cartridge please check about returning it to the seller. Hello I'm sorry you're not being able to save some money. Perhaps I can help though. Here are things that could save you money on ink products: - Make use of the printer's draft mode whenever possible - Shut the printer down between uses - Always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That gives it time to ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying - Subscribe to Instant Ink then you only pay by the page not for the cartridges themselves If you get poor performance due to a defective cartridge please check about returning it to the seller.
