I am sorry that you got that error message. Sometimes that means that the copper contacts on the cartridge (or the ones those meet that are in the printer) are fingerprinted or damaged.
If that seems to be the case, you can clean them carefully with lint-free material to see if that helps. If not, it could be that the cartridge is defective.
