Upgraded from my old 750 series. I was leaning towards the 870,?it seems to be the best bang for the buck, but I decided on the 970. My speed is limited by my provider at 1gig. Not a great purchase
Unstable, switches on and off all the time, sometimes no WiFi at all, sometimes satellite disconnect and have to manually reconnect, can't get the IoT network recognized on my phone (and it is turned on), loses connection all the time, satellites disconnect, wifi stops working sometimes minutes apart. Incoming internet connection 1.2Gb/40Mb/8ms ping stable

We recommend a few troubleshooting steps including performing a full power cycle of your RBE973S while disconnecting the ethernet cable to your modem as well as power cycling your modem. When the power cycling has completed, please reconnect your Orbi Router to your modem and ensure both the RBE973S Router and Satellites are on the most recent firmware v9.13.2.1 and then re-sync your Router and Satellites: https://kb.netgear.com/000070347/RBE970-RBE971-Firmware-Version-9-13-2-1, and also: https://kb.netgear.com/31018/How-do-I-sync-my-Orbi-router-and-satellite.

Never got the Satellite to work on 2.4 Ghz and just a Lapb Dance from Netgear! Very expensive lesson!!! Do not buy this overrated JUNK!!!!

Orbi is the best Mesh WiFi
Even though billed as a home Mesh WiFi solution, I have had great success deploying in small businesses, churches and small schools. Easy setup, no drops and great throughput!

Awesome wifi
My home is only about 2300 sq ft however I sit out on my patio or front yard and would have to switch my phone to cellular. Amazing
I upgraded from the Eero to the 970, and I must say, I’ve received an incredibly fast and stable system. I’m getting over 1GB of speed throughout my entire house.

Quad Band = Multi Lane Turnpike
One of the best decisions to upgrade my Orbi mesh system with the new Orbi 970! Every inch is the home covered and the speed is incredible.

Best Mesh for large house
With Google WiFi 5 system, needed five hotspots to cover 5000 sq feet, 3 story house, and was still limited to 100mbps in the basement. With Orbi 970, 3-pack is enough for the whole house and am getting 1000 mbps in the furthest corner of the house.
Orbi 970 is a must have for full coverage of a big house if you have a multi-gigabit ISP

Pretty powerful
Powerful but does lack some of the advanced router features Orbi used to have. Like not broadcasting certain SSIDs, so they can stay connected but be hidden from the neighborhood. Otherwise, as my fourth iteration of Orbi Mesh, I’m pretty pleased

Orbi 970
Very satisfying purchase. I recently acquired a 10gbe and this router mesh has allowed to utilize it to the maximum both on speed and coverage.

Excellent mesh setup
I upgraded from another Wi-Fi mesh system because of degraded streaming, buffering and gaming lag. This change has been an unbelieve change. I'm able to stream several security cameras, 10 TVs, and have 3 gamers in the house. No slow-downs, buffering, nada. I've had Orbi mesh systems in the past and I don't know why I changed to someone else, but I won't make that mist...

Excellent purchase!
Had terrible equipment from the cable company. Upgraded and installed within 30 minutes. There’s no looking back. Reliable fast and handles all my 40 plus devices.

Excellent WIFI7 Mesh System
Just upgraded from the Orbi WIFI 6 850 series to the new WIFI7 970 series. Wow, what a difference! The 10Gb and 2.5Gb LAN connections are a great improvement and the speed of the wireless connection between my two satellites has doubled, from about 450Mbs with the old system to about 900Mbs with the new 970 series. Easy Set Up, Great Range
Very happy with the system - now have seamless internet in our space (about 5K sqft). Previously had had issues with concrete walls in our old building - no longer an issue.
