Cartridges last forever
I bought my Canon printer a year ago and the small cartridge that came with it lasted a really long time. I am expecting the new cartridge to last several years with my printing needs. Canon is an excellent brand and can be counted on for quality products.

Item was returned.
Toner was too expensive. All 4 cartridges amounted to over $300. On line purchase of the same 4 cartridges amounted to $100. That’s a huge savings. Don’t know why Staple charges so much more than online. Not happy with toner cartridge price.

Cartridge works well, but the outrageously high price these things cost(and you need 4 total) far outweighs the quality and that is the reasoning behind my rating of 2 stars.

Love my Cannon laser printer
I got real tired of the inkjet cartridges drying up too soon and having to spend a fortune every year on ink jet cartridges. The color laser cartridges last forever and the printing is consistent all the time

Canon 045 cyan toner cartridge
The starter toner cartridges in my Canon color laser printer started running out, so they had to be replaced. Fortunately, Staples had them in stock, so that's where I purchased them. These cartridges are easy to replace, and even though they're expensive, they last a lot longer than inkjet cartridges, and produce a much more durable print.

So, paid more for a genuine Canon replacement cartridge, but one less hassle in life. Works great and don't expect any problems. They even include a return label to recycle the used cartridge.
