Color ink cartridges

The cartridges I purchased came in a sealed cardboard box and labeled “HP 951” Original Ink. The box contained 3 loose cartridges with one small strip covering a pinhole. (Although the first set you got certainly sounds like it was one or the other.) HP950XL/951 Black and 3 colors
I have not used the above in my printer yet. I bought it to keep on hand for when I run out. I have been using this same HP ink ever since I bought my printer. Approximately 10 years. I always buy the XL capacity ones. I use black more frequently than the colored ones so sometimes I just buy a Black XL.
