Colors don’t last

For reliability, stay with original manufacturer cartridges
Works as advertised. Since losing my last inkjet printer due to plugged jets caused by cheap cartridges bought online, I always use original manufacturer cartridges

Ink is what i needed cat the time
It's good to know that you have the ink I need in an emergency. I can order on line direct from HP and get it fo a bit less per cartridge but i do like the convince of driving a couple of miles and not having to wait for the product. I am not a high user of ink there fore I have-not entered into any subscriptions or regular delivery programs.

Very expensive.
I rarely print anything in color. But I have to change the ink cartridge about every six or so months to even get the printer to print a page in black only. Very expensive printer to operate.

Hi Jack,
The printers are set up to require both black and color ink. The reason for this requirement is many pages need a combination of color and black ink. If you want to only print in black ink, use that option on the printer. You will also find that cleaning the color cartridges weekly prevents them from getting dry. Therefore, you have to replace them less frequently.

Hello Wayne Three weeks is a short amount of time. I understand you are disappointed with the result. If you printed thirty to fifty pages daily a cartridge could quickly be depleted in that timeframe. If you printed a few pages the cartridge could be fixed or dry.
