Works great.
There is zero humming (in answer to another review). It just slipped right on and lighted up. I have lived in this house for ten years so I don't know how old the other one was. If it will give me 10+ years of service I'll be happy.

This is the second one
This is the second one I've purchased in the last few weeks and I have the same problem with both bulbs...there is a loud humming when the bulb is in use. It is very annoying! I had the original bulb for years and never had this problem .
