Good quality HP tri-color ink cartridge
I went to a Staples Store and the cashier, a very nice guy helped me order the ink cartridge online. The order arrived the next day and it was well packed. I installed the tri-color ink cartridge in my printer and it worked well.

HP 94 replacement cartridge for HP 96
The HP 94 works great with my HP Photosmart printer. The black is black. Some of the cartridges that were suppose to work the print was light more dark charcoal than black.

Something's Amiss
Printer world wonderfully until black ink replacement was received and inserted in printer. Quality of print is good Except the bottom 3% of everything seems to be missing which is frustrating and tools to clean print heads also seem to be missing and are hiding very well.

HP 98 Black Replaced HP 96 without problems
The HP 96 Black cartridge is no longer available. After much research I learned that the HP 98 Black cartridge is the recommended replacement for the HP 96. The HP 98 cartridge is recognized correctly by my printer (HP Photosmart 8150) and prints perfectly fine. Check your printer for compatibility with the HP 98 cartridge. This may not work for other printer model...

Why bother?
Asking for a review on something like this is ridiculous and exemplifies the weakness of AI algorithms. A replacement ink cartridge for a 15 year old printer does not justify a rating. It just is something you have to do now and then. This one is no better and no worse than any of the ones I have purchased and installed in the past. Just more expensive.

For years I always used the HP94. Then I went to the HP96 because it yielded a significant increase in pages per cartridge at a more reasonable price. Now the HP96 has been replaced by the HP98 which prints no more pages than the HP94. What happened to the price incentive?

Ink seems to last forever
I have very satisfied with the HP ink cartridges for well over 15 years and I was pleased that the ink lasted forever. I recently started printing Word and Excel documents just using only the black cartridge, since I found the color cartridge was not necessary on these personal worksheets.

The cartridge provides a good reliable performance. I am impressed that HP continues to produce this cartridge (and the HP 95 color cartridge) which I have used for years. I am also impressed that Staples stocks this product so that I have a reliable local source for the cartridge.
