Targus Chill Mat+ for 17" Laptops
The mat keeps my computer cooler, gives me 4 extra ports and allows me to place the laptop at a great angle to work from anywhere.

First off, if you find your laptop to be heating up more than it has in the past, one of the most effective things you can do is just get a can of compressed air (also at Staples, but for a LOT less than this chill mat) and try to blow the dust out (take off the bottom cover first - it usually takes all of 2 minutes and a small screwdriver and doesn't usually void any w...

Targus Chill Mat+ - Frustrating intrusive noises
The mat is built well enough, has no malfunctions, and does its job. My reason for the low rating is that it has an intrusive frustrating buzz that makes me unable to use it unless I'm wearing headphones. I understand that not everyone would have the sensitivity but I ended up buying a replacement for day-to-day use on my primary computer.

There is no DC power option as shown in the pictures. You need to use USB from your laptop. Wish I knew that.

Fixed my overheating issue!
Older laptop overheating. Purchased this and the problem is resolved 100%. Duel fans are quiet. Also tilts the unit to a nice degree, so is better ergonomically.

adjustable height, keeps laptop cool
This Chill Mat+ is really nice! My 14 year old son takes his laptop with him everywhere. The lap board he was using before wasn't very stable and the laptop would slide off and break. Home Office Goodness
This unit has been awesome. I used a less high tech solution to cool my laptop and this meets all my needs. This is a real solution that also doubles as a dock. It works on multiple sizes of laptops and I've used it for both my work and personal laptops.

Love it had multi view angles & dual cooling fan
The Targus - 17" Chill Mat+ with 4-Port Hub is great for even the elementary children to use when doing three school work. I love that you can sit it on your lap or table and can be adjusted to multiple viewing angles. I also love that it has 4 ports to hook up my mouse, printer along with other items, if I need. I would definitely purchase again.

Too small for 17" & cheap plastic
Ordered this specific item as it was the only chill mat showing as compatible with 17" laptops. It is not, it is built for a 15". The plastic that this product is made out of is super-flimsy plastic. When trying to adjust the tilt, the plastic locking mechanisms have trouble staying in place and wobble (think of an adjustable pool chaise lounge, with sun-worn plastic).

Great Product
This is really a necessity for older students in school. As early as middle school I'd say. All the way up through college. Also, if you do alot of work of a laptop, like me. Fan works great. Stand is sturdy. I highly recommend.
