Epson R1800 Light Cyan 96 Cartridge
I only use authentic Epson ink so colors don't change. Inconsistency is problematic and I don't need that. Just wish they offered an easy to use recycling program.

It's full of ink!
Epson ink cartridges are, not surprisingly, filled with Epson-approved ink. When one of my ink cartridges is empty, I always turn to a new one to get my printer going again - partly because Epson printers won't operate at all if they have an empty cartridge! Water Proof Ink!
Epson's inks for the 2800 are waterproof. None of the inks Cannon makes for their printers are waterproof, small format or large format - you can call Cannon and ask. For our project proofs we are always happy with the Epson inks for our Epson R2880.

I use Epson Cartridges only with R2880
I only use Epson's ink cartridges in my R2880 printer. At one time I tried a "mongrel" refill in a R2200. First, the printer wouldn't recognize the cartridge and when it finally did, the color quality was questionable.
I make exhibition prints and cannot risk poor or inconsistent color quality.
