A Clarification...
For all those purchasing 920XL color ink cartridges (cyan, magenta, yellow), know that the dimensions of them are exactly the same as those of the regular 920 color ink cartridges. There is simply more ink in the cartridges!
I just wanted to post this clarification because the 920XL ink cartridge for black is physically bigger than the one for the regular 920 black. XL ...

920 ink and 6500 printer
Terrible ink performance and incorrect out of ink prompts. You may get 30 prints and then the out of ink message comes on, but you will get another 200 prints so just ignore the prompt

I needed a cartridge that would print hundreds of pages prior to running out so that I could print notes for school. It did its job. But I don't think it quite printed as many pages as described.

XL is for double price NOT double life
Lucky if you get 200 pages from a 920 XL and no printing photos.

Headline Field TOO Short --- Max char. didn't fill box. The HP 6500A+ (in our family use) is a step backwards in ink print capacity!

I think this cartridge, just like other ink cartridges does not completely empty when a replacement is needed. These cartridges need improvement for today's economy.

The 1200 page black ink cartridge has a much longer life than any of the color cartiridges, which are smaller. I print most pages in black ink only to save on the color ink. But the colors dry up in the cartridges even without much use. Very expensive.

Disappointing
My printer indicated that the cartridge was half full, but due to a defect the ink would not come out. I expected better from HP especially for the price.
