Hey Timothy I understand you are having difficulty with the yellow ink. Since this is not a combination color cartridge there are a few strategies to figure out why your printer does not print red ink. I think the reason the red cartridge is not printing is either a leak in the yellow cartridge or yellow contamination on the red cartridge. I recommend taking out the cartridges inspecting them and using a gentle cloth to clean the printhead.
