Something went wrong
Replace the old one that in the above printer and would not print. Don't know what went wrong but something sure did. Placed the old one back in the 2230D after shaking it around and it worked for a short time and quit again. Went through the same procedure again no printing?

amazing shipping
shipping is no joke with Staples. I bought dell ink for a dell printer so ink is ink. But the coupons and shipping Is what brings me back to staples each and every time.

Dell Toner
We have been using this item for awhile. And I have yet to test and see if we get as many sheet printed per cartridge as it says. The one thing bad about it is that there is a great deal of waste. It leaks in the printer and when you shake it more

Just perfect
Works great. Though the price is steep being able to get thousands of copies before needing a new cartridge is great.

Dell M797K Black Toner Cartridge
I don't print enough to want to risk third party remanufactured cartridges. Works as advertised excellent print quality. Expensive for a laser cartridge but still much cheaper than using an ink jet printer for B&W documents.

Way to expensive!
Dell 2230d printer with M797 cartridge is used in accounting office. Great printer toner is about 4 times too expensive and only OEM cart are available. We will probably put this printer on the shelf.

Stay away from this printer unless you only print a few pages per month.

3.2 cents a page is too high for toner!
Printer is good. Toner is way overpriced. Not a good value. I am considering shelving this printer for something cheaper to operate.

It is what it is....
Too bad there isn't a generic version of this toner. It is rated for 3000 pages which is really not alot for the price you pay on this toner.

Short Cartridge Life
It states we can print 3500 pages I kept track of this last one I installed and at this point I have printed just under 3000 pages and it is show very lite in the print. I have to take the cartridge out and shake it every 50 pages to get a full set of docs printed. Very disappointed
