Been using this toner for years. Staples offered a $20 coupon; otherwise it's price was not competitive.

Good print runs out too fast for cost of it
Seems like there is less & less ink in them every time I buy them. Meaning they run out quickly and I don’t use this printer everyday

HP 125A Black Toner Cartridge (CB540A)
The printer and its cartridges work well and produce printing with decent quality. But is comes at a high cost relative to typical dot matrix printers. This version of HP printers are no longer total cost competitive.

HP Toner #125A
It works well but is way too expensive. HP continues to raise the price to force all of us to upgrade a perfectly operating printer. We protect and operate our equipment correctly and use only HP toners and inks to be forced to trash our like new printers. Good Luck.

Genuine HP cartridges have never given me problems like the generics. The image quality is always great. Staples discounts combined with free shipping make this a good buy.

They don't last as long as they used to
I used to get 50 000 pages out of toner cartridges. While I've had this printer a while I've gone through many toner cartridges. I think they are rated for only 5000 pages now. They also have a chip so when the printer thinks the cartridge is empty that's it - no printing until you have replaced the cartridge. That said I've had no trouble with with then aside fro...
