Excellent for visual learners
This is a great tool for students who struggle with fraction operations. You have the option to see it step-by-step, which is great for visual learners. It is also nice because you can wean students off of it, so they don't become overdependent on seeing the steps. At first, they could see all of the steps and then you can slowly take the steps away, so ultimately, they...

Disappointing. Keys did not work properly
Our kiddo, 11, found this calculator unhelpful. Keys don't respond to pressure. Need to tap them multiple times. Which results in frustration and entry errors.

Fraction calculator
The calculator was hard to push the buttons but it works fine. There are some things it doesn’t do so I would not buy this one again.

Step button arrow Light stays illuminated
I put fresh batteries in, without turning it on and the step light turns green. Nothing short of taking the batteries out is the only thing that turns the light off. I don't now if I got a defective one or is that suppose to just drain the batteries. It preforms well with fractions and standard functions. I just want the light to turn off when not in use.

Limiting display
To add or subtract mixed numbers, it first converts them too improper fractions, which isn't necessary. I think it's because they write things in horizontal rows.

FRACTIONS CALCULATOR
I really loved this beautiful, hand-held calculator for my severely dyslexic student. It shows how to work out a fraction, step by step, in adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying. I love the colors, and it has a pull-out stand on the back. It's a great size too for a bookbag. I am very well pleased with the way this product was made.
