78A cartridge page yield
Terriible performance. I got on 588 double-sided copies (1176pp) from one cartridge that is rated at 2100pp output. I cannot afford to use this printer & will be trying to return it.

What a ripoff
Totally frustrated with HP. Bought new printer and went from 15x to 78a cartridges. was at 2-3 cents a page with 15x, now at 8-10 cents a page with 15x. pulled the plug on new printer. bought used model of old printer so I can use 15x. saving about $2,500 a year by going back. HP I will not be buying your stuff unless you quit pulling this type of stuff and provide good...

Well done
HP has made buying products online about as simple as possible. I appreciate the simple method of sending back empty cartridges, and getting a credit for them on subsequent cartridges.

Unfortunately this cartridge doesn't have a very long life. I usually get around 1800 pages if I'm lucky. I print loan documents on legal and letter pages. Seems like this is pretty standard however, as the 49A was about the same.

SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE
HP is a good product; however it seems to run out too quickly, but if you shake, shake, shake it will last almost an entire additional day.

Printer flashes that the cartridge is low way before it is done. If you replaced it when the warning comes up, you would be wasting about 50 more copies.

Less than 1000 page yield???
Current cartridge lasted less than 30 days (& no, this is not the introductory cartridge). Machine used primarily for faxing. Checked fax log & only received 700 pages during those 30 days. Copies made amount to less than 25 pages. So much for the 2100 page supposed yield. Will be returning this cartridge to the store as defective. Hope this is not a recurring problem.

I Do buy this product often
Type documents for refinancing. Print about 2500 to 3900 every two weeks. Use 8 1/2 x 11 and 8 1/2 x 14 papers.
