78A cartridge page yield
Terriible performance. I got on 588 double-sided copies (1176pp) from one cartridge that is rated at 2100pp output. I cannot afford to use this printer & will be trying to return it.

Toner 78A Doesn't last
I agree with the other ratings. We are replacing a cartridge every week while trying to go to Kinkos as much as possible. I think the total number of pages has been misrepresented. No wonder the printer was inexpensive. HP is making its profit many times over on the cartrige.

It's okay for a small, home-based office
I find I have to replace this on an almost monthly basis. I go through about 4 packages of paper and then the ink starts to fade.

poor quantity.
I was rather surprised and disappointed at how quickly I have to replace this cartridge! I have used other HP cartridges and have been very pleased with both the quantity and quality of the printing.
The quality is great - but it sure lacks in quantity - thought I had a low volume cartridge rather than a regular one.

Good quality - short life
Print quality is good, but cartridge has short life and is too expensive. Found comparable product on-line that is less costly.

Too Short Cartridge Life
We have had to change the cartridge in our new printer 3 times within 4 months. Our old printer & cartridge lasted 3 times that long.

HP Toner Not Long Lasting
HP says it will do 2500 sheets. Most we have gotten is 1100, hence very expensive.

Very expensive for yield of 2100
This is a very costly toner cartridge for a yield of 2100. I used this to replace several HP LaserJet 2100 printer that used the HP 96A that yields 5000, ([$] compared to [$]). It appears that it should be able to handle an exteneded. Also looking for Staples remanufactured.

Expensive and doesn't last long
This does not last as long at ot claims and is 20 more expensive than the 12a I used before which seemed to last forever.

Does Not Last
We bought the printer for our 20 person office, hoping to reduce the need for frequent cartridge replacement. Unfortunately we are getting only 1500 pages of useful life from a toner cartridge.
