No no no
Every time we go to play gears, I'm frustrated. The gears grind and it is impossible to set up and run as pictured. I was trying to see if there is a video that would help out but don't find one. The kids would like to play but even is adults can't get it to run smooth

Fragile/brittle pieces
Idea is great, managed to assemble okay but managed to break 3 pieces during assembly, once more as soon as the toddler had a go, and another one later. There were some spares in the box, but we have literally just used the last ones and I don't see it making it through tomorrow.

Need a new Motor after 1 day.
Loved the product. However, the motor broke on the first assembly toward the end and we never got to see all the pieces move at the same time. I cannot figure out how to get a replacement motor and it's not worth buying a new one.

motor broke after two days
Played with it twice and the motor hand control no longer turns the gears. I assume the internal gears inside are striped. Comical considering it is a toy about gears, gears, gears. Otherwise educational.

Not great
Bought for my 5 year old birthday. No way he could build this on his own and not much fun to play with when built. I thought this would be a really fun "building toy", but it isn't. Don't waste your money.

Very hard and frustrating to put together. Time consuming.
Very time consuming. Three hours to be exact to put together. The pieces that are illustrated in the directions and on the box are not all the same as what is in the box therefore its hard to decide whether to read the instructions or just look at the box. It says 5+ but my 6 and 7 year old could not put this together. This requires adult assembly. I would not recommend...

Really enjoyed, but top portion of coast
I bought the set for my classroom, but I let my 1st grade son use it first. He loved assembling it, but was disheartened when he couldn't finish the last portion... the roller coaster. It was a great price, but I may have to return it as we cannot complete the assembly and it was the last one.

Good Fun time with Adult help
This toy has great potential, and my grandkids ages 6, 4 and 2 loved playing with it once dad had it assembled. It would be great if replacements for some of the small parts were available as the green connector parts tended to snap off if not carefully attached. The kids found that frustrating. All in all a good toy and it got full attention for at least an hour on Chr...

My 7 year old daughter loved this set.
My 7 year old daughter loved this set. We built it together the first time--I don't think she could have built it by herself, but after that first time, she has spent a lot of time building, tearing down, reconfiguring, etc. This isn't a cheap item, but it's worth every cent.
