This is helping with the edge of my desk when using laptop keyboard. If my skin is being sensitive or I'm working w/o a break for hours, it can still feel a little rough or not cushioned enough. I don't think there's anything better out there though - just kind of how these things are in order to be durable... may find some softer fabric (faux suede?) to cover.
