Filters are the way to go
Bagless vacumns do not pick up as well so we always get bags

Buy the Allergen Bags instead
These don't work nearly as well as the allergen bags that are a bit more expensive. I feel so dusty/dirty after vacuuming which doesn't happen with the allergen bags.
