Solid UPS, Hard to Kill
We pretty much use these for all our clients. Easy to monitor with SmartConnect, easy-to-replace batteries. Just make sure to use brand-name APC batteries as the knock-offs don't work as well.

Best APC during a power outage
I live in a place where our power goes out what seems like once a month and I work from home so this is not a great setup. However This APC keeps me working when our power is out. Great Backup
Being that I am a programmer and work from home, having a power backup for my computer is very important. While I do not have power outages often, I will occasionally get flickers, and when they do occur I can't work. So by using this, it gives me that extra time to continue working without disrupting whatever I was doing.

Keeps my server and internet up during brown outs
We live in a part of town that is older, and during out hot summer months we have occasional brown outs (Power drops enough to cause electrical items to shutoff/restart) and having this happen to your server at home is not conducive to a long life of the raid, cpu and other items. Reliable UPS
This is very reliable UPS. The unit is heavy as it's 1500VA but the shape makes it very stable. There is a fan that turns on only if the unit is operation on batteries. Normally the unit is silent. The runtime on 85W is above 2h which is great.

Good to know!
Great product. Takes close to a day to get it fully charged. A bit hard to configure if you place it on the floor. Do this on your desk before placing it at it’s final resting place. The web link Is great. Would have liked to be able to completely configure it online. APC is a top pick for me.

Small Businesses love these for good reason!
1500VA that will fit on your desk and never let you down! As with other APC products this is solid reliable and feature rich. These as well suited for both a small business office as well as your home office. Highly recommended!

I manage the UPS for a midsize biotech in South SF with over 2.5millionKVA backup potential. Before buying this consider if your using a diesel to provide increased power outage support this might be more than you need.
