Extremely disappointed
I was extremely disappointed with the otter box and quite surprised as I have many of their other products. The iPad has a bar at the top for finger touch turn on. The otter box has a thick cover over that spot. I looked at it closely wondering if I could just cut the small cover off but realized it wouldn’t work. The entire cover was too thick.

Only lasts a few years
This offers great protection, but after a few years the “rubber” (or whatever it is) breaks down around the edges and begins to fall off.

The Otter King
Dropped my iPad from roughly 5ft while checking a security camera, I didn't have the cover on, as I was aligning the camera.... Fell flat on the screen, no damage,,,

The whole case in itself is good . There is a section about 1/2 inch wide by about 8 inches long along one of the sides that does not stay on . I don’t know why they can’t make it all one piece like the other side is . There is nothing at all there so it doesn’t matter if it is covered up . I threw the piece that kept coming off away . The most solid cases!
I've used these for my iPads and iPhones from day 1. These are stellar cases that really do protect our gear. I do add a glass shields to the iPhones. I tried other Amazon cases and they just don't compare. I've dropped the iPhones plenty of times and they simply withstand the abuse. Not as good as it used to be
I'm in the crowd that doesn't use the iPad cameras so these new cutouts do nothing but let in dirt. I prefer the older style that did not have the cutouts and which kept the iPad fairly clean. Plus manufacturing has moved outside of the US.

Good case bad design
I bought this case for work it is a very solid case but the pencil flap broke within two weeks of just using it. Didnt drop it or anything the flap just broke off cause they dont put a steel rod through the plastic to keep it from breaking off the hinges. Good case but bad design.

I bought this Otter Box for the 12.9 iPad, and it was worth the wait and money. It has been dropped on the ground and tossed around truck, and it the iPad still works without issue.

Plastic cover corners are breaking off.
I purchased this last August. Almost immediately one of the corners broke off because the cover was extremely difficult to snap on and off. I was “ok” with it being gone because the cover was at least easier to snap on and off. Now a second one has snapped off… compromising the cover’s ability to stay attached. Poorly made case
There has to be a better option for installation with the pencil cover. It breaks off entirely too easy. I’m on my second case and it just broke up from hitting headboard and took the little plastic piece it connects to with it. This case sucks

Great protection
Great protection, a bit heavier than expected. A little hard to remove cover if you attach it to the back of the iPad.

Good Protection but limited access to USB
This case will absolutely protect your iPad. But that also makes it bulky, and if you have a flash drive or a USB hub designed to plug directly into the iPad you can forget it. You'll have to remove the case (NOT easy for me) or buy and keep up with a M/F USB cable as the case prevents most anything except a USB cable from plugging in.

Mehhhhh. My Face ID won’t work because it says the camera is covered. But the camera is fine for FaceTime calls.
I wish the stand to prop it up didn’t have to be taken off. Because now the two pieces are separate and get left behind. Would be great if kickstand was attached
