It worked
I bought a new computer without serial or parallel ports. I had a LaserJet 5p that still works very well, but was built before USB ports. The cable and the technical support from StarTech and Dell let me keep my printer with the new computer.

Won't install
Tried to install on a Windows 10 machine, won't install. Error states: No third party digital signature. So now what?

So easy; Laser Jet 4 wiith Windows 8.1
Attached the cable to my Laser Jet 4 printer, then to the computer, then turned on the printer, sent a document to the printer - and it printed. It took about 2 minutes to set up and it works perfectly. I love this cable; I don't have to purchase a new Laser printer now!

Works well
Allowed me to hook up a Lexmark 4039 plus (an older, network printer) to a new computer that didn't have a parallel port. Installation was very easy.
