This adapter is a purely mechanical converter. Many modern keyboards don’t support it, some do. Your mileage might vary. Don’t blame StarTech for this t...

Doesn't work
I bought several of these for use with a USB keyboard, to connect it to a computer with PS/2 ports. I tried this on 3 different computers, none of the computers recognized the keyboard. I know the keyboard works because I use it on a computer with a USB port

Response from Staples :
Thank for you taking time to review our GC46FMKEY and I'm sorry it didn't work with your keyboard. Passively converting from PS/2 to USB or USB to PS/2 is only possible with mice and keyboards that are compatible with both PS/2 and USB connections. Please see our FAQ for more information: https://www.startech.com/faq/ps2_cables_adapters_compatibility#GC46FMKEY

It was like I said exactly what I needed to reconnect my keyboard from the back of my computer. The store didn't stock this exact item they did have something that would have worked but that isn't what I wanted. I wanted the ...
