Works on Some Things

Doesn't work with satellite TV receiver. Receiver has HDMI output, TV has VGA input but no way to get a picture. Works with DVR HDMI output, sort of, can't get size and position right. Works well with computer (PC) and old TV.

Didn't Last

I purchased this for a work monitor and it did not last a full year. My monitor became an unsettling pink hue after 11 months and it would not go away. I tried restarting my computer and replugging all the connections but it wouldn't change. When I first received it, it felt cheap. This product is not good quality.

Adaptateur qui permet d'étirer la vie d'un vieux moniteur ;)

L'objet répond parfaitement à mon besoin. Soit d'associer un "vieux" moniteur à mon nouvel ordinateur qui ne comprends plus de port VGA.

Necessary, available and expensive.

Simple. We'll packaged product that does the job. A bit pricey, but an important component to bridge the new systems with HDMI outputs only so people can continue to use their legacy monitors.

Didn't work with a Mac Mini

Tried with two different monitors and three different VGA cables, to confirm that it wasn't the VGA end.Simply didn't work with our Mac Mini.I had an HDMI-to-DVI adapter which worked (thus confirming for me that the HDMI worked on the Mac Mini), but this HDMI-to-VGA adapter did not work at all.

I returned the product due to its incompatibility with my PC. What I should have ordered was a DVI slot adapter to the HDMI. No fault of Staples at all.
