great value
I purchased a Makerbot recently and needed filament. The price for the filament is all over the place. I was in Staples and saw they sell a 10 pack of assorted colors for what I thought was a reasonable price good value for buying multiple spools. It was shipped and received sooner than expected and the rolls were bigger than I thought they would be. So this is an awes...

168 bucks for 2kg is ridiculous
10x 0.5lb = 5lb or ~2kg 16.80 a roll for 1/4kg rolls is well above retail. That's what you might pay for full kg rolls.

Love being able to buy all the colors and have what I need. However the spool of PLA that came with my Makerbot Mini worked fine; when I changed to the newly received colored spools (so far 5 out of the 10) my extruded jams constantly. I have checked everything else and it appears to come down to the filiment which is very sensitive to moisture in the air. Process of ...
