Another mark against my employer!

This toaster looks pretty. But, it's farely incompetent. The worst thing is there are no temperature settings. Plus it doesnt get hot enough. It takes forever to cook or re-heat food. It's like it was built as a child's toy. It's sad when the multi-million dollar company I work for can't spring for a decent toaster oven for it's employees.

Bought this for our office and was very disappointed at the quality. Timer is only for 15 minutes and it takes a while to warm up or heat anything. This toaster is not worth the [$] we paid for.

Comments about Avanti® Toaster Oven, Stainless Steel:

Looks nice in the office kitchen until you try to use it as toaster.
Avanti customer service/product information could not understand that toast usually gets brown, instead of just baking and drying out as this unit does.
Shield on heating elements would impede broiling too.
No problem with fire, since it never gets very warm.
Go to a real appliance store and by a real toaster oven!
