I use a different color of highlighter for each activity on the calendar. At a glance I can tell if there is a Doctors appt. (orange) or school (yellow) or vacation/days off ( green). Well you get the idea. You could also use a different color for each family member if there are several children. The color is bright so it is easy to see but I can still read the ink writing underneath. My daughter can highlight anything she wants to reference back to in the books she has to buy for school.

I have always chosen this highlighter because it was the only one that didn't bleed through the thin paper I use. I have been satisfied for years. Now I see that they've "improved" it by giving it a more eye-catching appearance, but sadly the ink now bleeds straight through the thinner paper. Very disappointing change. Now it's like all the rest. That being said, the new design is comfortable to handle. Only the ink quality has suffered.

I have been needing highlighter pens for a while but have been waiting for a sale. I have several "fat" highlighters but prefer the smaller size of the bic highlighters. They are bright and smooth in application. I have only purchased bic brand pens in the past and only purchased "hi-liter" brand highlighters. If these highlighters last a long time, I will be buying this name brand in the future. As always, and as a loyal Staples shopper, I appreciate your stock including various brands to choose from.

The 5 pack is best for highlighting different areas of interest in a document. I set up a color code for inportant and different points, therefore don't have to look at each highlight and can go right to the area of interest. The clip is a great to clip to papers or book pages. The grip is comfortable for people who have trouble holding a pen.
