I love these! I use them at home in my office. I love that i don't have to have a pencil sharpener around to take up more space on my desk. I let the kids take them to school. They like that they don't have to keep getting up to sharpen their pencils. And yes they do use them to take test with, the ink is dark enough and doesn't seem to smear like some of the other pencils. Also my husband uses them for bookkeeping because they erase easily enough to wipe out any mistakes. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Very poor quality control. I had to cut the hole larger where the lead comes out because it was too small. Press all you want and nothing happens. I had to take a pair of anil clippers and clip off the end to get access to a larger hole. Then find something to make the now flat cut round again. Way too much work for a simple mechanical pencil.

Also, the lead does not come out evenly when you push the ned. SOmetimes it barely comes out and sometimes too much and then it breaks immediately.

I bought this because it was on special and I use them a lot. Cheap is not always better. This was just cheap.

I would not buy agaon and certainly would not recommend.
