I use this pen for notetaking, report writing, and at work as a waitress. I love the retractability- no caps to worry about and it writes very smoothly. It dries pretty quickly, but can smear if you are using non-standard paper (like thin carbon copy sheets). If you need a pen for quick one-handed use, I would strongly recommend this.

The Bic Velocity was my favorite pen for a few years. However, manufacturing issues now cause the pieces to separate, which can cause the clicker to jam and the ball point to be inaccessible inside the tip.

Therefore, I can no longer recommend this pen.

    I ordered a box of pens because the price was right and my wife makes pens disappear. Have never figured out where they go.

    BUT... The first pen out of the box skipped so badly I threw it away. The second pen is very smooth and does not skip so I have high hopes for the remaining pens.

          I just buy these pens in bulk online because I love them so much and they tend to disappear on me. I do wish they sold them in stores though. I never can seem to find them in an actual store. That can sometimes be a pain when I'm out.
