We recently installed one of these and it apparently was defective because our printer keep on flashing the 'replace drum' light so we had to put another one in. Frankly, they are very expensive. You could buy a new printer for what you spend for a drum!!

    This is used for an intellifax 460, which is an old multi-function machine we primarily use as a fax. It is hard to find replacement products for this machine, but Staples does a great job helping us find and get what we need.

              The item number is 392466 and the drum has a lifespan of roughly 20,000 pages but a light will turn on letting you know when it is near replacement.

              A:

              On the top left of the drum unit there is a blue piece of plastic with an arrow pointing to the left. Move this piece of plastic back and forth from left to right and back again, all the way across the width of the drum unit five or six times, and that supposedly cleans the corona wire.
