Long-lasting - Do not replace too soon!

We received a "Low Drum Unit" warning, leading me to purchase a replacement unit. I decided to wait until the print-quality degraded before replacing the unit. It's been 6 months of heavy use now, I just replaced the toner cartridge, and the print quality continues to be excellent.

I'm sure I will need this unit eventually, but I'm glad I didn't put it in 6 months ago.

I do not understand why these drums are so expensive. They are a piece of plastic that could not cost Brother more than $10.00 to manufacture and HP printers do not even need replacement drums. Thus, the need for these drums greatly increases the costs of operation. Unfortunately, if you own a Brother printer you have no choice.

this is great product and it makes its easy to install it keeps our printer running nice and smooth and it was no problem or hassel puting it together all you do is open the front compartment pull out the drum out then remove the toner and just add the new

I always splurge for name brand when it comes to ink, toner, or anything having to do with a printer EXCEPT paper. It is well worth the extra dollars to get the quality. It does not get any better than this.

Q:
I replaced the drum unit but my printer still says to "replace drum." There is no "Go" button on the printer to get it to recognize the new drum unit. How can I get the printer to recognize the new drum unit without a "Go" button? The drum unit does not seem to be working, either. Documents have printed out in a light tone.

We are wanting to purchase a printer (not with color inkjets cartridges)We need an ecomomical printer.
Brother MFC 8480 DN price right now 400.00 and we are wanting to know what is the TN-620 cartridge cost? how many pages per cartridge? and does TN-650 cost is 125.99 for how many pages?
we are setting up a library soon with 3 computers and 1 printer how many usb cables do we need? does it have another compatable cartridge. Is there anthing else we will need to purchase to have it up and running?
