I've had my Brother Printer for about a year now and haven't had any problems with it or its ink cartridges. I like it better than the HP I replaced. My computer repair person recommended it and so far I'm very satisfied. I just wish the ink cartridges weren't so expensive. I'm a home user who uses the printer just about every day. I have two computers and my wife and I both use the same printer. It seems like HP has a lot more money to spend on advertising than Brother does. I would recommend it to a friend who wanted my advice. The local Staples store is only a mile from my house so it's convenient. I don't shop any where else for computer supplies. I also like the rewards points. I don't care for rebates because it's a nuisance sending it in and then waiting for my money. It's just something else to keep track of. I would rather get a lower price without a rebate of mailing anything in.
