I use this to make projects for my students and love how easy it is to replace cartridges, how clear the pictures are, how the colors come out, etc. I find the price of replacement without an option for refill when I KNOW there is still ink inside very disappointing. I do things for my students with my own money and this price is very discouraging.

If you want to get the full life of this cartridge and all Brother cartridges, you need to use opaque tape to cover the toner windows on both sides of each cartridge. Brother has the cartridge leave a fair amount of toner inside because the sensor reads empty when light is sensed through the cartridge. The cartridge life is already very short. Very expensive printing and a very poor representation for Brother.

Comments about Brother TN-110Y Yellow Toner Cartridge:

Manufacturer's yield rating is based on only 5% coverage of a page. If you print any pictures, you will cover far more than that! On my MFC9840CDW, all three color cartridges mysteriously ran out of toner at the same time, despite the fact that the only pictures I print are of green plants. I had to replace ALL color toner cartridges after about 900 total color pages were printed. Cost of three regular-size cartridges was about [$], meaning cost per color page printed is VERY EXPENSIVE!
