Q: Customer service kindly explained already that the difference between PG-50 and PG-40 is yield: the former yielding 500 pages, the latter 300. What about the PG-30? Is that different only in yield, and if so, by how much? Thanks! Asked on 6/30/2011 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: It depends what printer you have. The PG-30 is compatible with only some the PIXMA printers. Other than that there isn't really much of a difference. The PG-40 can have a tendency to last a little longer than the PG-30.
