Good but pricey product

I have tried ink that is supposed to be a clone of Canon's, but have wound up with dripping cartridges that stained my coat and the seat of the car when I tried to dispose of them. Now I'm afraid to use anything else. Canon's ink does a very good job, is easy to install, and I'm happy with it as a product. However, I think Canon takes advantage of customers in its pricing policies.

You can't buy a whole package of everything you need for Pixma 6120 at a discount as I could with my last 4-in-1 Canon. Consequently, I have to buy, in addition, grey and smaller cartridges of black (why does it require two cartridges of black to print a doc? I wind up spending close to $90+ if I need to replace all cartridges. And they don't last that long, either. Good Product, but too expensive.

I was VERY dissatisfied with the NEW ink refills. With the new black cases you can no longer view your TRUE ink supply, but must either run it dry or rely on what your printer/computer says. Also, the NEW ink supplies are only 1/2 to 2/3 of the size of the older ink cartridges in my PIXMA printer. Seems like you print a few pages and it says you are low AGAIN. The older ones ran forever. Canon has found a way for PLANNED OBSOLESENCE. It will run out FAST !!! PLUS - their NEW cartridges are priced even more expenive. Looking elsewhere than Canon next time.

    I am an active volunteer and find I print many b/w documents. I found that the two-pack of XL Black Canon ink gives me the black ink that I need without having to buy the 5 or 6 pack with all the colors. I shopped around and found that the Staples price was better than a few other office stores. Some did not even carry this two pack.
    I've had consistent good luck with Canon ink's quality.

        I purchased this product since I already use the ink and it was a great deal if you bought the twin pack. The replacement of the ink tank is a very easy process on my Canon MG-6120. This is my second Canon printer and I am very satisfied with it. It is multifunction and works well. The colors are vibrant and all members of my family use this printer. I have not even scratched the surface yet on all the functions of this printer. Even if my Staples is out of the item, they will contact the nearest store to see if it is available there. I try to print as much as I can in black and white and definitely do not want to run out of the black.
