My two main uses are (1) for attaching paper to other surfaces -- especially as a dry-mount -- to give a clean professional look, and (2) for attaching a business card to letters and such -- using a couple of small "dabs" (put some glue in a small "squirt-tip" bottle to make it really easy!). The card will not get lost and not noticed (because it fell somewhere in the envelope), and it can easily be removed by the customer. The little bit of glue on the back of it can easily be rubbed off by the customer. VS Most Helpful Negative Review Needs to be better I have a lot of projects to make for school and I thought using the rubber cement would be a lot more effective than just regular glue, but found it to be just as much...Read complete review I have a lot of projects to make for school and I thought using the rubber cement would be a lot more effective than just regular glue, but found it to be just as much of a heartache as regular white glue. There are very few things that this rubber cement will hold up on. I found that if I need to attach small items like beads, then this glue will work, but if I have to bond things like poster board or foam, this just does not work all that well. It can also start to make a mess, especially if begins to build up on the brush. I would use hot glue and put up with the extra mess if it means that my projects can get finished. Cons Best Uses Comments about Borden Elmer's Rubber Cement: Use this for making materials for preschoolers. It is great to attach pictures or images to cardstock and then laminate for materials for preschool use. I make items such as matching cards with pictures and words. I like it for this type of project because if you need to reset the picture it allows one to re-position items or hold items in place prior to laminating.

Comments about Borden Elmer's Rubber Cement: Best thing about this product is that my son can use it for his school projects to glue things together. Product is easy to use. When it dries you can rub off and it comes off fingers.

Also, changed the color of other products involved to the point that we had to redo several of our project papers. I would rather use Ross brand if I was given a choice between the brands. We had no such issues with theirs.

Comments about Borden Elmer's Rubber Cement: I certainly prefer Elmer's rubber cement to regular glue or paste, since it spreads easily and tends to dry flatter without making very bumps in the paper. But it IS messy, and can dry up during use and also get sticky and dry up in the bottle, even when the bottle is tightly closed.

Cons Best Uses
Comments about Borden Elmer's Rubber Cement: I have used Elmer's rubber cement for decades and appreciate its many fine qualities. My only objection is that Staples no longer carries the product in sizes larger than the very small 4.1 oz. bottle. Nor can I find the rubber cement thinner they used to stock.
