We keep organized with a whiteboard laid out as two calendar weeks. Each person in the family had his or her own whiteboard maker color to help us know who is where, when, and who's responsible to get the kids where they need to go. We've each chosen a color, but we've had to limit our colors to those found in traditional packages. That means that Mom gets orange, not her favorite color, which doesn't come in most packages. The lower price because it's a bulk package (8 markers) helps, though, so Mom accepts orange. Also, changes have made the smell of these markers much less offensive than they were a couple of years ago.

My Mother is deaf so I've been using a lot of dry erase markers on dry erase boards for many years. This brand is one of the best in terms of ease of writing, brightness of ink, and comfort of using their markers. On the negative side, they (like all dry-erase markers I've used) tend to dry out quite quickly and tend to be completely worthless after a short period of use. They especially completely dry out very quickly if you don't cap the markers IMMEDIATELY after using them, each time. The ink is not forgiving to being uncapped even briefly. In spite of those shortcomings, this is still the best brand I have found in terms of ease of writing and brightness of colors.
