    I was making teaching materials- game boards, pieces, etc. The items came out nice and stiff, like an plastic ID card.
    Make sure you leave space aprox. 1/4 inch between items, if doing multiple items in the same pouch. If They are too close together, they are hard to cut. If it doesn't seal correctly the first time, you can't redo it, so do a test-run first!
    Staples brand: same specs, but w/a carrying case. I don't need to spend more money for that.

    The film works fine. However, I was surprised that there was no carrier inside. Heated laminating requires a carrier to place the item to be laminated in. Otherwise the film can stick to the rollers, deposit glue on the rollers, etc.

    Fortunately, I have a couple of carriers from previously used brands.

    I would think that such a basic, necessary item would be included.

                I was going for the 1st time to laminate my son's voting cards. When I was buying these Laminating Pouches I had no idea that something else is needed besides the laminator itself. At home, when I started to read instructions of the laminator, I've found out that one more thing is needed: paper envelope, which, according to the instructions, suppose to be in every box of laminating pouches. Mine was kind of opened and re-sealed when I bought it, and it did not have this paper envelope! That was not good - it was already after 9pm and all stores were closed. Fortunately, I thought of using a big real envelope for this purpose: I cut the edges and used it as instructed - it worked.

                      No, there is no cardboard cover included, but it is not needed. I originally used an old one from a previous laminating pack, but the results were poor. After abandoning the cardboard I was much happier with the results.
