I bought this as a tool for my 5th grader to use in class. His teacher allows them to use a spell checker. He uses it during self selected reading to look up words and when he writes to find alternative words instead of using the same word over and over. He finds it easy to use and the games are fun. The cover could be a little sturdier but other than this it's a great product!!

I have yet to have this machine SAVE the first setting. It always reverts back to what it was set to when bought. It skips the steps of setup and will not allow me to even set the time. I was given this as a "spellchecker", what do I need with World Time? This meets nothing that I wanted a machine to do. I will be having this on a garage sale and maybe even for free to get rid of it. To each their own and it may be great for others but NOT for me.

I love the product and have had Franklins before, was surprised to see the print was tiny and the key board a little difficult to get use to.

I loved the older edition of the Franklin dictionary/thesaurus. This new one while smaller and more compact isn't user friendly.

When I got this purchase home and started to open the package, found that one side open very easy. The unit already had the batteries installed and with following the instructions I was unable to operate.

I think someone previously purchased this unit, installed the batteries and find it difficult to operate, returned it to the store, and they put it back on the shelf and I ended up with it.

So it is going back tomorrow and exchange for another brand.
