This cord says 25 feet but it doesn't look like that, doesn't overhang - in other words - it will stretch for you when you need it, but not be annoying when not in use. Don't get the short one, it's like not having extra length at all. You won't be sorry you chose the 25 foot or longer; the curl in it is so tight you won't believe it's really that long. Fits fine on the counter, no problem. And it does NOT have that nasty toxic smell like so many new things! Yay.

Not durable in a commercial setting

I own a restaurant. I've gone through half a dozen of these coils - they stretch out and the connections start to fail after a month or two. Time for a different brand.Read complete review

If you want it for your home, on the other hand, it's probably fine.

                  Just bought an old time wall phone that came with a short wire. I got tired of the portable phone that had to be charged. I went into Staples and there was a 10 foot wire.
                  I am now not stuck to the wall with a short wire, but can now move around my house with the longer wire.
