HP 15A (C7115A) TONER - WORKS WELL

The Toner Cartridge works well the printer is about 9 years old and I only use HP Toner Cartridges in the laser jet and they never leaked. Does a great job.

grossly overpriced

Again it seems like the prices went up. While I know that when I take this thing out of the box, its going to work every time, now more than ever I can't get past the feeling of being gouged by HP on toner/ink cartridges of any and every kind. And 2500 pages output? this isn't a conservative underestimate - I'm lucky to actually get that many. Comparatively, my antique 4ppm apple laserwriter would easily yield 6000 pages per toner cartridge. Why is it so difficult for a machine 15 years it's junior to put out 2500?

End result - While I understand hp's practice of making it's money on consumables, if they have any interest in maintaining customer brand loyalty, I have to think that's a really poor business model.

    It's has always been a good toner for us easy to use and reliable, also get a lot of copies out of one cartridge. Still a little pricey, but for me it averages out to less than one cartridge a year. So I guess I shouldn't complain.

      I like the quality of the product, but I feel that the price is high. I do appreciate that Staples offers 10% off with the Staples card. That helps a bit. I wouldn't have known about this discount, except that the helpful salesperson pointed it out. The toner was super easy to install and I liked the recycling feature right in the box. I simply attached the peel-off tag and dropped it off at a UPS pick-up location. I believe that Staples has a recycling program as well. Good experience.

          (Surely you have an answer by now, but your question popped up when I entered my review, so here's a bit of info...) The box the cartridge came in says: "HP LaserJet 1000 - 1005 - 1200 [my printer] - 1220 - 3300 - 3380." It seems that it is for only these specific printers.

          I can't see that there is any such H-P printer model as an "1006." Do you mean P1006? Such fine distinctions are very important when discussing H-P printer models.
          You can find the correct cartridge in Staples' printer/cartridge compatibility list. This is NOT the correct cartridge for the P1006.
