The cartridge is easy to replace as I have found most HP ink cartridges to be. The model numbers this can be used in are listed on the package which is a nice touch and makes it easier to figure out if you are buying the right one. The not-so-great thing is how pricey replacement cartridges are - you can often find a new fax machine or printer on sale for less than the replacement cost of the ink cartridge!

Read all of above ratings to get the picture please. The Ink is starting to cost more than the 648C printer it is used on! That is a no no and next time I get disgusted with the price I will by a different brand of printer for home/personal use like Brother which is cheaper and just as reliable.
HP company seems to have become of a snobbish management thinking they have their customer's hooked like slave to pay higher prices for ancillary goods for use of major products!
