When first used the ink produced well- picked up all gray tones as well as solid black. Printing on an average of just 2 pages per week, it no longer picks up grays very well and small print is sketchy at best. This product is very disappointing and overpriced. I don't know if the problem is the age of the ink or not. Will try other brands.

I am totally satisfied with the quality of HP ink cartidges from Staples. Previously, I thought that I would save money and ordered HP ink cartidges through the internet. The price was good, but I received dried cartidges. There wasn't any warranty if the package was open from that internet supplier. This was not stated when I placed the order. I do not know how anyone would know if the ink was dry without opening the package. I was out the money for three cartridges. They would not even return my request for replacements. This is a costly lesson. I will stay with Staples for my ink. I watch for a promotion to purchase my ink at a discount.

There is not much of a choice when this is the cartridge that my printer needs, but I find that it is easy to replace and the print quality is great. I use it for professional business documents. I also recycle the cartridges to get extra buying power at Staples. I find that i seem to use 2 black cartridges to every color cartridge.
