Ridiculously Priced and short lived!

Regardless of how I've changed printer settings, the colors run out despite having black. Printer won't print with colors low, and all are infuriatingly expensive. If I am low on cyan, my HP will print in red and over ride my black and white settings causing the printer to deny the next print. I will not purchase an HP again due to the price and short life of cartridges. My old printers colors were truer to what I have on screen, and the quality was more crisp. This purchase has been a constant waste of money.

With HP ink one is able to print or copy anything. Many times ones is able to make up to three hundred business cards or a hundred photos before one has to run a cleaning/toolbox program with ones printer. Even the easy way of changing ink cartridge is quick and easy. Also it does not matter whether is doing everyday copies or high quality business and/or Artist Copies the quality is still the same. Which one very happy customer coming each time for the same HP Ink Cartridges to continue the quality of work that ones expects to come off their Printer.

Printer indicates new ink cartridges are damaged or missing when placed in correct position, loose fitting slots don't always work, needs better and firmer contact points to always work on my HP 6500A printer. Inks are fine when they do work.

Q:
why do you have to all of these color specif cartridges. I have always just bught a "color" cartridge for every other brand? Do you have to switch a color cartridge everytime you want to print something in color. I have never seen or heard about this type.

  This type of printer uses the same colors that you would find a tricolor cartridge. When you purchase a tricolor all of the colors are in the same cartridge. If one color runs out, you would have to replace the entire cartridge. This can result in some waste, which is why the individal cartridges were introduced. You would only need to replace the color that has ran out. To place an order for these cartridges, please contact us at 1-800-333-3330.

  Expiration dates are printed on the back of the cartridge packaging. Don't know how long after that they will go bad as I have not had one do so. I have just replaced a magenta cartridge that became low enough after approx 9 months of infrequent use (8-10 reports/ month w/ only the heading in red) and the ink was still printing as well as when I started.
