For all those purchasing 920XL color ink cartridges (cyan, magenta, yellow), know that the dimensions of them are exactly the same as those of the regular 920 color ink cartridges. There is simply more ink in the cartridges! I just wanted to post this clarification because the 920XL ink cartridge for black is physically bigger than the one for the regular 920 black. XL cartridges for cyan, magenta and yellow, however, have the same dimensions as those of the regular 920 ink cartridges but have more ink in them. I did not know that initially and was hesitant to purchase them because I could see how my inkjet printer could accommodate a bigger black ink cartridge but not so for the other colors.

I switched from an older HP printer to the HP 6500 Wireless. When I shopped one of my top requirements was a printer that offered me low cost per page printing. Wow! If the cost per page for the 920 XLs are low, I hate to think how much it costs to use the printers that have a higher cost per page. People should be aware that the printer's warning that the ink cartridges should be replaced comes far earlier than is warranted. There's a lot more ink left in those cartridges, so don't change them until you have to.
Comments about HP 920XL Magenta Ink Cartridge (CD973AN), High Yield:
I'm fairly pleased with my 6500A Plus HP Printer. It is wireless and was easy to install. Occasionally, it loses itself and I have to reinstall it. The printing is clear and the cartridges are certainly easy enough to install. I like that I get some rewards for recycling them. There is no way I can write 400 characters about an ink cartridge.
Comments about HP 920XL Magenta Ink Cartridge (CD973AN), High Yield:
I use this ink in a large format printer to print cover photos and text for my music that I personally print and sell. This ink has never fouled, it gives me good warning when it comes time to replace, and is easy to replace. I always get the High Yield cartridges and they seem to last quite a while, and save money over the normal size. I've also used it for printing personal family photos and my "artistic" photos, which I hang around my house and give as gifts. I've tried the budget refilled ink cartridges, but they are not worth the extra hassle and don't work as well. I'll stick to HP.
