The reason why I use 98 Black Ink Cartridges by HP is because they have a long cartridge life; and long after I receive messages that my ink is low, I am still able to print legible print. I print bank/bill statements, articles of interest, personal business cards and on occasion photos. Since I don't have much money now, photos really suck up the ink, so at the moment I rarely print photos. It seems these cartridges don't last that long, and cost ALOT of money, at close to $25 a pop(just for either black, or slightly more for the color cartridge).

It is not cost effective, but I am much happier with the HP inkjet printer and print quality than I ever was with Epson. Our printer has lasted several years, whereas my last Epson only lasted maybe a year or slightly more!

The graphics are generally good, and if you are doing picture/photo quality or business cards, put the printer on 'best quality' to get good results. For ordinary articles even with some photos, regular/normal quality is generally ok.

      The cost of the cartridges are too expensive and I fell it does not last a long time. Also, why is it that you MUST have the TWO cartridges in for it to print? If I only want black ink, my printer will not print unless I have a color cartridge in -place. I get error codes and also theres a problem when the ink is about ready to dry up. For some unknown reason, the ink comes out and makes a big mess. Next time I need a printer, I plan on checking out the prices of the refill first, then I will make my purchase depending on my findings.

          I also have the HP all-in-one printer and i've been using the 98 ink cartridge for a long time. I recommend using this product, but if any problems occur, then you should just take the 94 and 95 ink cartridge. Hope this helps!
