Cheap runny refill. Was.told by employes that this is what staples uses on their custom stamps. i doubt it.

have to re-ink pad frequently, but don't know that ink is responsible, could be we need a new ink pad. Otherwise, works fine as advertised.

I am a Notary Public Signing Agent and use my "SEAL" continuously. Although my self-inking stamper states that it will print upwards of 50,000 marks without fail, recently the imprints have become faint. This is unacceptable in my business and my commission (which requires a new seal) does not expire until late summer 2014. I needed to find an ink refill compatible with my stamper as most new stamps use ink specifically designed for their product and not recommended for use in others. The Cosco Ink Refill works perfectly, is reasonably priced and judging by the initial application will last up to my re-commission date and beyond. Thank you!!!

  It's a water based ink so it does not stick to glossy surfaces, however on paper it is permanent and does not wash of hands easily.

  This ink refill isn't listed as being non-toxic, so I would recommend against using it as ink for hand stamps, just to be on the safe side. Staples.com does carry an ink for stamp pads that is non-toxic, the Cosco 2000 Plus Black Roll-on Ink for Stamp Pads item #735867.
