I bought the printer online and they clearly stated that " the ink cartridges last along time and you do not have to change them like the other printer", so taking the word of the sales women I bought it. I did not do my homework on the printer and ink, very bad mistake. This printer uses ink so much, I even do quick print, black and white when I can and it seems I am always buying ink. It costs way to much money for the little amount of ink you get.

    I wish I had not purchased a Lexmark printer. The cartridges are so expensive. The product is good quality and prints clear and precise. My only problem is the price. Staples never has them on sale. Seems they only put HP on sale. Guess I will have to save up and purchase a HP printer. I do tell my friends that the printer and ink are good quality, I wouldn't recommend because of price. How about putting Lexmark products on sale. I do buy all my ink from Staples as employees are very friendly and helpful.

    ink is to exspensive and does not last long enough. I have tried the XL and it is better. other thaqn that I mhave no complaints. As i indicated it is easy to install. I do not understand why these ink cartridges should be so expensive. It appears to me that it is taking advantage of consumers who purchase the printers. Once you have the printer you are at the mercy of purchasing the ink at a high price. I woul;d like to see a manufacture of printers to take the steps necessary to find a way to lower the cost of the ink.
