I bought this keyboard because I needed a USB keyboard that has the current spacing that most business keyboards have - not squashed like laptops or many of the other computer keyboards that don't have the line of spaces between the sets of keys or a smaller backspace key. Those other "compact" keyboards make it too easy to hit the wrong keys if you are used to traditionally spaced keys, like this one. This keyboard works perfectly for what I need it for. I am a freelancer and use it for both work and casual and can take it with me to a client's office if I need to and just plug it in. I don't like any of the ergo keyboards. Many offices use the ergo keyboards, so this non-ergo keyboard is perfect for my needs as I can get up to speed quickly. It also has a good touch, not to light and not to stiff, like some keyboards I have tried. I got the last one on the shelf and it was a good price too.

I use the keyboard for extensive email communications with clients for business and for creating web pages. I find that the keyboard is not very sensitive and often misses keystrokes, resulting in misspelled words. Most frequently, I find that the last letter of one word is tacked on to the beginning of the next word. That is very frustrating when I have a lot to say and I have to keep retyping and correcting keyboard errors. My other computer has a Dell keyboard that is smooth, doesn't click as much, and doesn't make those errors. (In other words, I know it is NOT entirely user error!)

I spilled about a TBSP of cold coffee onto the bottom right corner of the keyboard -- immediately picked it up to drain and then dried it out with a fan. 'P' became /+; 's' became * & so on -- this is NOT -- I repeat NOT a spill resistant keyboard so why is it advertised that way?? An employee where I took it (& had bought it) said this was not the 1st time a small amount of liquid ruined a Logitech keyboard. Seems others already knew it was not spill-resistant. If you don't spill anything, it's a great little keyboard for those of us not wireless at home, but I consider the spill-resistant claim to be false advertising.

    For such a small $ investment, this keyboard has enabled me to type school work, including a thesis, on my personal laptops, as well as countless business emails and projects when used for work-at-home days on the company laptop. No sore wrist or neck and multiple keying errors as one normally encounters spending too much time on a laptop. It has traveled well in my checked luggage, too, when on extended travel; just protect the feet or keep the box for packing.
